Relaxation massage incorporates several therapeutic techniques. Tui Na massage is a combination of flowing strokes and the application of varying pressure to different pressure points along the body’s energy channels. This can help with a variety of conditions, such as easing sore and tense muscles, reducing the severity of headaches and sinus pain, as well as allowing the body to recognize a relaxation response. This may aide in the improvement of one’s mood and overall sense of wellbeing. Each treatment will incorporate massage oil that is infused with Australian Bush Flower Essences to support how you are feeling on the day.

The demands of modern day life can create a state of hyper-vigilance in our nervous system, otherwise known as fight or flight, which can lead to a state of physical, mental and emotional distress. In the fight or flight state, the body will produce increased amounts of the hormone cortisol, which lowers dopamine and serotonin levels, that contribute to feeling happy and positive. Relaxation massage can assist in the reduction of cortisol levels, thus restoring a sense of physical and emotional wellbeing.

Michelle is well experienced in providing nurture and care in the form of relaxation massage and presence, having worked in the Not For Profit sector and within a hospital setting. Each treatment will involve a personalised blend of Australian Bush Flower Essences in the massage oil to support how you are feeling on the day.
