Melanie Milne

Acupuncture, Chinese Medicine

Acupuncturist, Herbalist and Cosmetic acupuncturist

Melanie discovered her love of Chinese Medicine through receiving the healing art of acupuncture herself. The holism of her very first treatment brought about such transformation that would redirect the course of Melanie’s life. After completing a Bachelor of Health Science (Chinese Medicine) at SSNT (The Southern School of Natural Medicine) Melanie is now committed to creating the same degree of transformation in the lives of her patients.

With a avid interest in the role of emotion as the origin of disease, Melanie has assisted many patients experiencing the effects of anxiety and other mood disorders, with profound results. Mental health is an area Melanie enjoys treating clinically as she believes the TCM approach results in long term change. She finds natural ways for her patients to feel better. In the future, Melanie hopes to undertake research into the treatment of mental health conditions using an advanced integrative medical approach.

Melanie has also studied Constitutional Facial Acupuncture under the direction of Mary Elizabeth Wakefield, the world leader in facial rejuvenation acupuncture. This unique anti-ageing treatment focuses on the internal state of the body as reflected on the face. By addressing blockages of Qi at a constitutional level harmony and balance are restored to the body allowing it to reabsorb the signs of ageing. Melanie has also studied Lymphatic drainage techniques to enhance the anti-inflammatory effects of her treatments on the tissues.

Away from the clinic Melanie practices aerial yoga and is rediscovering her love of writing. She is also one of the many cat obsessed practitioners at Esolab, enjoying timeout with her gorgeous cat Izzy.
