Low back pain

Acupuncture has been shown to have a positive impact on both acute and chronic low back pain, providing relief from pain and improving overall function.

By stimulating the central nervous system, acupuncture triggers the release of natural opioid peptides in the body, which help alleviate pain caused by overstimulated pain receptors.

Additionally, acupuncture can influence neurotransmitter and neurohormone secretion by activating the hypothalamus and pituitary gland, addressing pain, muscle, and organ function. The stimulation of electromagnetic signals at acupuncture points promotes the flow of endorphins, further contributing to pain relief.

In Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), the health of the lower back is closely linked to the Kidneys. Factors such as aging, poor diet, overworking, chronic illness, anxiety, and lack of rest can deplete Qi and Blood, leading to muscle weakness in the lower back.

Acupuncture can help nourish the Kidneys, Qi, and Blood, facilitating healing and strengthening of the lower back. Stagnation of Qi and Blood due to trauma or repetitive strain can also be addressed through acupuncture, which promotes the flow of Qi and Blood, dispersing stagnation and reducing pain.

External factors like Cold, Damp, Heat, or Wind can exacerbate lower back issues, particularly in individuals with weakened immune systems.

Acupuncture and herbal remedies can help dispel these external invasions and strengthen the immune system to prevent future attacks on the lumbar region.
